I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a professional member of the National Counselling Society and I am a Hypnotherapist registered with the National Hypnotherapy Society. I am also an Anxiety UK approved therapist providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I am subject to Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of my professional qualifications, supervision, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by my registered governing body.

Anxiety sufferers usually respond really well to Hypnotherapy, with clients usually noticing a marked difference after just one session. People with anxious worrying thoughts generally find it hard to relax and sleep so Hypnotherapy can calm the mind and body enabling symptoms to become more manageable whilst exploring the deeper concerns.

My approach to counselling is Integrative, and in my work I integrate different theories as they seem appropriate to the issues that clients bring, and in ways that we might work together, to understand and make the changes that clients wish to make.
Integrative means the blending of parts together to create something new, different and positive.
The main theories that I work with are, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Generic CBT (which encompasses Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, and Transactional Analysis).
